Areca nut (Areca catechu)  is the seed (Commonly referred to as betel nut) of the areca palm tree which grows in much of the tropical Pacific,  South Asia, and parts of East Africa. These seeds are often chewed wrapped in betel leaves in Sri lanka as an alternative to chewing gum.

Arecanut sheaths which is fallen naturally from arecanut tree is used for  manufacturing of this areca nut leaf plates. Fallen husks are collected, pressure washed, sun dried, moulded and then sterilized. Manufacture of these palm products in a hygienic and natural method without using any chemicals or bonding liquid to fill out all the nooks and crannies, like plastic disposables. No resin, glue or chemicals are used at any stage of the production process and also the raw material has soaked in 100c boiled water to prevent fungicides, virus, bacteria etc.

• These plates keep the raw vegetables and fruits fresh for longer duration as these are made using oxygenated Areca leaves.

• These plates can be use for a longer duration for dry snacks.

• For food include liquids such as a sauce or curry then it is best to keep changing the plates.

• For  curries contain meat or fish might also have some bacteria in them, which might contaminate the plates. Therefore making them not fit for another use.

• Areca Leaf plates are a chemical free disposable product which is fully biodegradable in a short period of time and will naturally compost in 2 months while naturally decomposed in 2 to 3 months.
